    - Overview
      QNX systems are built from the QNX OS standard release components, the architecture- and board-specific files provided in QNX BSPs, and customer and third-party components.

      Before you attempt to write a new BSP or modify an existing one, it is helpful to know how to use a BSP.
    - Initial Program Loaders (IPLs)
      IPLs first set up the minimum environment needed to execute their compiled C code, then find the OS image and load it into memory, and then jump to the QNX startup code.

startup_memory_map()

Synopsis:

void *startup_memory_map(unsigned size, 
                         paddr_t phys, 
                         unsigned prot_flags);

Description:

Same as mmap_device_io_memory() in the C library — provide access to a memory-mapped device. The value is for use during the time the startup program is running (as opposed to callout_memory_map(), which is for use after startup is completed).
